The Standards Committee is responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct by Councillors, co-opted members and parish councillors within the borough.

The Standards Committee, at its meeting in March 2017, approved the  Standards Committee Councillor Training Strategy – Ethical and Governance Matters.  This document was then reviewed annually and the Standards Committee at its meeting in December 2019 approved the Strategy:
